Story 1   To maintain friendly relations with your neighbors: Become friendly with your neighbors. (3 minutes)

Who do you think will be the first to give you a helping hand when a disaster occurs? It's your neighbors. To fully exercise community power in the event of a disaster, it is important to communicate with and maintain friendly relations with your neighbors in ordinary times. Story 1 gives some strategies on how to become friendly with your neighbors by showing Rabi's experience in making friends with his neighbor, Kameo-kun.

Story 2   To help your neighbors: Remember! (3 minutes)

When a disaster strikes, can your neighbors evacuate to the designated shelter? Elderly people, people with small children, and people with disabilities have difficulties evacuating by themselves. Are there any people who need help in evacuating in your neighborhood? Story 2 teaches you how to evacuate these people safely and quickly. During a disaster, it often becomes difficult to communicate with family members who have become separated in the chaos. Story 2 also gives you tactics on how to stay in contact with family members during a disaster.

Story 3   To rescue your neighbors: Voluntary disaster prevention (3 minutes)

To protect yourself, your families and neighbors against a disaster, it is important to prepare various necessary items in advance. You should prepare not only emergency foods and other daily necessities that will be needed at the evacuation shelter, but also scoops, hammers and tools you can use to rescue neighbors trapped in the rubble. It is also important to know where these rescue tools are stored and to practice using them, so that when you need to, you can get them easily and use them immediately.
